Plantamed was founded in 1979 by RAIMO HEINO who is a Medicine licentiate. RAIMO HEINO has done research on the central nervous system, taught anatomy at the medical education department at Uppsala University, defended his thesis on neuroanatomy, and wrote the standard work “Our healing plants”.
RAIMO HEINO is one of the prominent figures in natural medicine in Sweden.
Plantamed develops and produces natural remedies and body care products in its own production facility at Mälaren beach. Plantamed has the Swedish Medical Products Agency’s GNP certificate (manufacturing license) for pharmaceuticals production.
